Noel holds a strong foundation in exercise, nutrition and lifestyle management with a Masters Degree in Exercise + Health Science [Bristol University] and a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and Pyschology [Birmingham University]. He is also Coach Certified through several well-respected coaching training schools.
Noel’s Early Days
Noel started out back in 1989 as a Fitness Consultant at a fitness & tennis club in Maidstone, Kent (now Fitness First). One year later Noel embarked on a 12 month round-world trip working in Australia as a Fitness Consultant in RCM Healthlands at Bondi Junction, Sydney, with Richard Chew. On his return, Noel spent time as a Fitness Consultant with Espree and Dave Giampalo, before joining Pinnacle as Fitness Manager at Sutton + Cheam with Tom Lee.
Noel’s Blue-Chip Corporate Background
Having worked for the best people at that time, Noel was able to beat off stiff competition to become the first Fitness Manager at The Chelsea Harbour Club – still one of the most luxurious fitness and tennis clubs in the world today. There Noel became one of the first fitness professionals in the UK to become a Certified Health + Fitness Instructor of the American College of Sports Medicine and got to advise and support royalty, sporting professionals, numerous celebrities & highly successful business people. An amazing experience for someone in their mid 20’s.
Later Noel became an Exercise Physiologist with BUPA before spending 2yr with Technogym (Europe’s largest manufacturer of exercise & fitness equipment) as the UK Education Manager. There Noel taught Fitness Instructors throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland on exercise + fitness (within the leading health clubs). Plus he got to assist several Premiership football clubs (Liverpool, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Man City and Charlton) with player fitness & conditioning.
In 2004, Noel wrote a chapter on golf fitness for the book “The Power of Champions” (chap7, p197) where “the list of contributors reads like a decorated who’s who of the fitness industry” (NESTA, 2006). Noel also has had several articles published in Fit Pro magazine (over 75,000 members) and has appeared in national magazines and national newspapers.
